For those of you feeling adventurous or those who like to walk, you can do the full 10 mile walk around the lake. For those less adventurous, there are plenty of trails around the water you can do, and from the Theatre on the Water (Keswick side) there is a great sub-hour loop taking in the lake, woods, beach and clifftops.
The lake can be used for all manners of watersports and your dog (if the water type) will love splashing in the shallows.
There are car parks dotted around the lake and it is a short walk from Keswick itself, making it really accessible if that is where you are located.
There is a café as well near the Theatre on the Water, which is also dog friendly and serves excellent cakes and hot drinks, as well as having toilets.

Have fun at the Puzzling Place, go for a walk at Derwentwater, then cap it off with some well-earned food at The Wild Strawberry.
