Overview

Witton Country Park offers 480 acres of parkland, woodland and farmland a mile away from the centre of busy Blackburn.

With such a large area to explore, there are many routes that you can take, depending on your age and ability. You could follow the riverside footpath to Pleasington Local Nature Reserve, venture into the woods, or climb to the Wainwright Memorial viewpoint. There are many maps handily dotted around the park, as well as a cafe and public toilets.

You can let your dog off the lead in most areas; observe your surroundings to ensure it is safe to do so.

There is free parking available at the Tower Road and Pleasington car parks. If you use the main entrance leading to the leisure centre, there is a pay and display car park costing around 60p for 2 hours, or £1.80 for the day.
