Overview

Jumbles Country Park offers a lovely resevoir and woodland walk in Bolton. It is a relatively easy walk, taking an hour or so, but your dog will surely do many more steps if you let them off the lead to paddle in the water and dart through the bushes.

There are a couple of car parks in the area and a seasonal café on site. Sensible footwear is advised, especially in the wetter months (or you can do as this contributor did and wear goliath sandals and receive blisters and dirty feet!).

Dogs are allowed off lead as long as under control. There are a few bins around but as is usually the case with these sites, they are far and few between. You can make the walk as long or as short as you'd like and there are plenty of views to take in to catch your breath. Keep an eye out for some wildlife too.
