A very traditional pub in the heart of Lancashire
The Calf's Head is based in the little village of Worston. You wouldn't see it from the busy A59, relying on word of mouth for it's trade - usually suggesting it is good. And it really is. A dessert menu longer than the Bayeux Tapestry always finishes off a hearty pub grub meal.
Your pooch is only allowed in the bar area, which is usually a staging area for one of the other two rooms. You can get the full menu in the bar but expect to see a constantly changing atmosphere around you as people wait for their seats elsewhere.
Located at the bottom of Pendle Hill, this pub is in a great location if you've followed in the footsteps of the Lancashire witches, and a hearty meal is always welcomed after. Your pooch will be able to have water but treats are best brought with you.
There are rooms available and dogs seem to be welcomed in them, but do check before booking.
