A beautiful reservoir to explore in north Wales
Llyn Brenig is a lovely reservoir with plenty of trails to follow. The area employs the stick and flick method for dog poo, so as long as it is not on the trail, you're ok. That does mean you should probably stick to the trails, though! There is a circular 15 kilometre trail you can do, which should get you and your pooch nicely tired out for the evening.
There are a lot of farm animals surrounding this reservoir, as seen by the copious amounts of sheep poo lying on the trails (they did not observe the stick and flick!), so watch out if your dog is a sheep chaser or poo roller.
The café by the visitor centre has outdoor seating, which is great for having a bit of lunch with your pooch. The car park has a £2.50 charge, but that is the only fee, and all of the money goes towards maintaining the reservoir and visitor centre.
