A tranquil and breathtaking place
Only down the road from Llyn Brenig, this just pips it to the post in terms of scenery. It is simply stunning.
The reservoir and dam were built in the early 20th century to supply water to Birkenhead. The wood area was replanted after World War I to replenish the timber used during it.
There is a circular 10.9 kilometre walk around the reservoir starting from the car park. Dogs are allowed off lead, with the stick and flick mantra in place for any dog poo - just keep it off the trails!
Simply, a great place to walk your dog.
