Explore the marina of Poole before you walk to Baiter Park
There are numerous places you can start this walk from. Whether it is Poole town centre, where you'll find loads of car parks, or at Baiter Park, this is a very scenic walk to enjoy. The harbourside walk takes in the old lifeboat house, the harbour, and views of Brownsea Island and Baiter Park. Poole is home to the second largest natural harbour in the world, and the fresh sea air makes for a pleasant stroll.
Some of the harbourside walk is (as the name suggests) on the harbour, so dogs should stay on leads when in close proximity to the road. However, the park itself is free for dogs to be off lead, providing you have control over them.
If you continue on to Whitecliff Harbourside Park, dogs are requested to stay on leads, as this area has many football pitches and outdoor sport arenas.
