Explore this north Manchester park

Overview

With a golf course, pitch and putt, bowling greens, football pitches, 2 play areas, an adventure playground, boating lake, 2 cafés, 9 landmark buildings and 5 car parks as well as 600 acres to traverse, Heaton Park really has it all.

Whichever car park you come to, you'll find yourself in a great part of Heaton Park. You can then explore all the paths and amenities, whether it be walking around the boating lake, exploring the woods or saying hello to the animals at the stables or animal centre. There are also three gardens to look around.

Your pooch is allowed off lead on all the main areas of the park. Just keep and eye on them when you come near to the animal sections, and they have to be on the lead in the playgrounds.

The Stables Café is dog friendly and a welcome, refreshing break after all that walking. The Lakeside Café is also another option.

Both you and your pooch will be tired after exploring Heaton Park!
