Featuring an in-house deli and various paddocks where you can enjoy playtime with your pooch, this is more than just your normal pet shop
Once you visit the Dog Barn, you'll wonder how you ever managed without it.
The Dog Barn features a large enclosed paddock that you can either hire for your own exclusive use, or use as part of the many playtime sessions each week. The latter are a great way of socialising your dog from an early age, and there are sessions for different ages; up to 6 months, up to 12 months, and 1 year and up. As long as your dog's vaccinations are up to date and they get on well with others, you can just turn up on the day and pay your couple of quid to take part. Your dog will have a great time and almost certainly leave tired!
Worked up an appetite? Whilst there, you should also pay a visit to the Dog Bowl Deli. There you'll find a variety of homemade treats, including mutt loaf, pup cakes and miniature pies. They almost look good enough to eat yourself, though there are a few human snacks and a full hot drinks menu available. Try a few of the sample treats out before buying to find out what your dog's favourite is (most likely, all of them), then take some home to make training a breeze!
If your dog gets dirty, it might be a good idea to coordinate your visit with a grooming appointment at the in-house parlour! For roughly £30 your dog will receive a full bath and groom, with the utmost care given. They'll come out looking their very best! You can also learn to groom your dog yourself, though do call in advance to find out when those sessions are available.
There's also an indoor play area for small dogs (up to Cocker Spaniel size) and a full shop offering food, toys, clothing and more.
