A thresher is a piece of farming equipment that separates grain from straw, so we can assume it shouldn't be confused with 'thrasher' - an altogether different word!
The Jolly Thresher has a bar area where dogs are allowed, and a restaurant area where dogs are not allowed. The bar area is nice and homely, though it is much more of a serve-yourself place, with menus and cutlery being available for you to get and order at the bar (though this of course will have all changed with COVID-19!).
Dogs are provided with water bowls and treats, though, again, this comes as a result of you asking at the bar for the items.
