Typical of a Brunning and Price pub, this is dog friendly with decent spaces for you and your pooch to be. Please note when booking to mention you have a dog, as they are not allowed in the carpeted areas.
The staff brought over a water bowl for our dog and there are plenty of treats available too.
For humans, the food is lovely with the usual gastro-pub fare on the menu and something for everyone. During the summer, the barbecue comes out in the beer garden. The bar has real ales, draft lagers and a full spirit bar, as well as the usual juices and draft soft drinks.
Outside there is a spacious beer garden next to the River Ribble, which flows through Whalley. During heavy rain this can be liable to flood, as early 2020 proved!
